Dale's songs of love, justice and nature are informed by her environmentalism and her adoration of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bessie Smith and John Lennon. Years spent playing guitar and piano in bands in Australia and the UK has developed her alternative folk-country style and grungy tone.
