March Acoustic Soup

The Food Co-op Shop & Cafe, 3 Kingsley St, Canberra ACT

It's starting to get chilly so come on into the Food Coop for a cosy night of fantastic music, wonderful hot dinner, and tasty treats.

Just $8 for students/members or $12 for general entry (which includes dinner!), Acoustic Soup is a great opportunity to listen to some of Canberra best musical talent!

Rohan Fox: has been playing piano in a few Latin music bands around Canberra for the last few years but is now just starting a new solo project that with more electronic and soulful vibes

Rebecca Mann: a singer/songwriter from Canberra, Australia. She delivers raw emotion through her passionate, original music. Rebecca relishes playing intimate shows around Australia. Her heart-felt music is accessible and Rebecca’s empathy draws in the audience, on occasion moving them to tears. Rebecca’s ability to share emotion through her performances has earned her a loyal following who relished the release of her debut EP. Produced by Guy Lilleyman from Amberly Studios, her debut release 'Moon' (2018) features four emotionally charged tracks. CBR Folk, Roots & Reggae BigJam

On Sunday 27th January a selection of Canberra's folk, roots & reggae musicians will gather at Smith's Alternative for a monster jam, with vibes ranging from the Afro-Roots & funk of Zambezi Sounds Canberra to the delicate songwriting of Rebecca Mann! This is a one-stop minifest not to be missed!

On deck for the night are Canberra’s own:

Rebecca Mann MOON EP Launch Party

We are having a house party at our place in Campbell to celebrate the launch of Rebecca Mann's debut EP 'Moon'. Bec will be supported by the wonderful Bobby James and Evan Buckley (The Burley Griffin). We are so excited to hold our first house gig and honoured to celebrate our friend in the process!

Bang!! Beng!! Bing!! Bong!! Bung!! is an opportunity for less experienced musical performers to have a play on a good stage with a friendly audience. The format is five or six ‘Bungers’ as we call them playing five songs each (max. 20 minutes), followed by a set from a more experienced performer. Original songs are preferred but not obiligatory.
